I got a small oil roller to try, as I’ve been looking for the glossier you to smell and couldn’t find any in store. There’s an upfront steady note of peppercorn, which I wasn’t expecting. It’s quite strong. That fades after a couple hours into a light soft/sweet smell. I love wearing it with a warm vanilla musk oil to complement the pepperiness, and suit my taste better. It’s very unique. It’s not my favorite scent to wear alone, but enjoyable layered with something warm/sweet.
Everything smelled lovely. I hope to purchase more in the future.
I have to echo the sentiments of other reviewers - this is how I wanted You to smell! I never smelled the OG, but the new version I have, while pretty, disappears quickly. It's also very peppercorn-forward on my skin.
Afterglow is a tiny touch sweeter and the peppercorn is far less unruly; it's just perfect. I put it on and went about my day, and I was so pleasantly surprised to catch occasional wafts of scent. It truly lasts, and it has much more presence than the current incarnation of You. New staple in my collection.
I like this even more than “you” because it has a subtle sweetness combined with the clean and addictive scent profile you would expect. This is such a good oil!
I love skin scents and the profile of Glossier You, but hate that most musk scents barely last a minute-- which is why I thought to give this a try. I mix three drops of the perfume oil into a bit of Palmer's Tahitian vanilla lotion after a shower and the whole bathroom smells like warm blankets and iris. For a scent that I thought would vanish in a second, this is one oil I HAVE to mix with something else to dillute. It projects, it hasn't irritated my eczema prone skin at all and lasts 8+ hours on the skin. Honestly a staple in my bodycare routine 🫡 keep doing whatever y'all are doing in that lab
